Flathead Classic Sells Out for the First Time: Warning Issued on Scammers
Gold Coast, 10 September 2024 – The Gold Coast Sportfishing Club (GCSFC) is excited to announce that the Flathead Classic has officially sold out for the first time in its 30-year history. This milestone reflects the event’s growing popularity and success among the angling community.
However, the GCSFC is aware of fraudulent activities emerging in response to the sell-out, with scammers targeting those who missed out on team spots. Reports have surfaced of fake offers and unauthorized transfers being circulated.
Warning to Participants:
Do not transfer money or engage in transactions outside of official Flathead Classic channels.
Any entries or transfers made through unofficial means will be invalid, and GCSFC will not be liable for any losses incurred.
Participants are urged to report any suspicious activities and verify information directly through the official Flathead Classic website and social media.
“This sell-out year is a significant achievement for us, but unfortunately, scammers are taking advantage,” said Jaye Allen, Gamesmaster of the GCSFC. “We urge everyone to stay vigilant and only trust official communications.”
For queries or concerns, please contact the GCSFC through official Flathead Classic channels.
