It’s with great pleasure that we announce our Official Event Partner and Major Prize Sponsor, Surf Coast Marine and Quintrex.

Over the last few weeks, the Gold Coast Sport Fishing Club Committee have been working closely with Paul Banning, Dealer Principal of Surf Coast Marine who has teamed up with Quintrex to lock in an awesome deal that will see the duo not only sponsor this year’s event but, kick-starting in 2019 the event will become the Surf Coast Marine Gold Coast Flathead Classic, for the next 3 years.

Recently talking with Paul Banning, he confessed his excitement to become such an important partner in the event, not just this year; in the events 25th year, but for the following 3-year deal. Paul said;

“The team here at Surf Coast Marine and Quintrex are delighted to be onboard for this year’s event.”

“We have been part of the Flathead Classic for the last few years, and love how the event has grown consecutively into, what we think is one of Australia’s leading annual fishing events”. Paul Concluded.

A highly anticipated announcement that accompanies the launch of the event each year is the major prize pool. This year we are delighted to release that there are now more chances to become a big winner. Surf Coast Marine along with Quintrex, are giving away 3 x Quintrex 420 Renegades, plus a junior boat prize. Yes, you read correctly we are giving away 4 boats during this year’s event.

Paul commented and said;

“This year’s prize pool consists of the Major Prize, which is a painted and wrapped Quintrex 420 Renegade, Side Console with a 50hp Evinrude E-Tec and Quintrex Aluminium trailer. This will be accompanied by a Minor Prize Quintrex 420 Renegade powered by a 40hp Evinrude E-Tec Tiller steers, unpainted and lastly a Kids Prize, which will be a Quintrex 310 Dart powered with a 6hp Evinrude .”
