The 2024 Gold Coast Flathead Classic kicked off with stunning weather, setting the stage for what turned out to be a thrilling week for anglers. On the final day, the weather gods were kind enough to grant a full day of fishing, leading up to the exciting evening presentations. Just as the last prizes were handed out, the wind picked up and rain poured down, adding a dramatic conclusion to an unforgettable event.
This year saw an impressive 5,952 Flathead caught and released, even as anglers navigated through a mix of weather conditions. The high number of catches showcased the vitality of the local ecosystem and the skill of the participants.
